Get Started Immediately

We would show you some sample codes and provide you with comprehensive documentation to guide you especially if you are working with Fidelity Bank API Platform for the first time. We advise that you go through the material below as you get started in just four steps.

Step 1: Browse our available APIs

Take a good look at our catalogue of available APIs and identify any you would like to use in your application. Use the identified API to design an application that solves your users’ needs.

Browse APIs

Step 2: Sign up

Once you have found an API, you would need to create a developer account by signing up for free. Signing up is quite straightforward. Register your name, email address, company name, phone number and password. We would send an email to authenticate your email address by clicking on the email link and once that is done, you are set to develop your application.

Create An Account

Step 3: Register your application to get your Client ID and Client Secret

To start developing your app, you need to have it registered on the developer portal. To do so, just follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Developer Portal at developer.fidelitybank.ng.

  2. Click on the My Account and navigate to the My Subscriptions section.

  3. Click on the Create New Subscription link.

  4. Enter the name of your Application here (e.g. 'Test Application'), an optional Application description (e.g. 'This is a Test App') and your OAuth Redirect URI. The OAuth Redirect URI is the 'redirect_uri' where the OAuth2 flow returns to your application.

  5. Click on Save New App button to complete the registration of your Application.

Your Application will now be shown, along with any other Applications you may have registered, in the main list in the My Subscriptions section. Once you have successfully subscribed, you are ready to develop an App and then test connectivity. Registering your application on your account creates your Application Credentials; Client ID and Client Secret Key which is required to make calls from your Applications to the Fidelity Bank API Endpoints.

Step 4: Select a Plan

Lastly, after registering the Application, you need to choose the API you want and subscribe to a selected plan. Basically, the Plan, which could be free or require a periodic subscription, specifies the number of API calls your application can make. So, you would need to think about what you need and which Plan would be just fit.

Going Further
